Companies present digital transformations in the construction and energy sectors
To reduce CO2 emissions from buildings in Flanders, EDIH-EBE, a European innovation project, is focusing heavily on digitalization in the construction sector. Eight innovative companies from the manufacturing, construction, and energy sectors have been selected for a tailored support program to elevate their ideas. During the Dragons’ Den event, EDIH-EBE and EDIH-Digitalis provide these companies with a platform to pitch their projects to a panel of experts and investors.
Buildings account for 32% of CO2 emissions in Flanders. To reduce this footprint, POM Limburg and its partners, through the European Digital Innovation Hub – Energy In The Built Environment (EDIH-EBE) project, are accelerating digital transformation within the construction industry. Companies engaging with this one-stop hub receive support for their digital transformation, with a focus on energy applications.
Dragons’ Den for innovative solutions
EDIH-EBE sought out companies with innovative solutions that leverage digital technologies to optimize energy consumption and improve the sustainability of buildings and infrastructure. Smart technologies, data analysis, and digital tools are key components, enabling better energy management, optimal use of renewable energy, and reduced CO2 emissions.
Eight companies from the manufacturing, energy, and construction sectors have been selected by EDIH-EBE and EDIH-Digitalis for a customized support program to refine and advance their innovative solutions. On November 7, they will pitch their projects to a panel of experts and investors during the Dragons’ Den event.
