Einstein Telescope Expo

The Einstein Telescope is an underground observatory through which a Belgian-Dutch-German alliance aims to detect gravitational waves and explore deeper into space than ever before — all the way back to the Big Bang. The observatory holds great significance for international physics and astronomy. It is a driver of technological progress and, as a client for high-tech manufacturing companies, presents a unique opportunity for society.
Although the Einstein Telescope might seem like a distant concept, there are already opportunities to seize today. To inform businesses, governments, and future generations, FacThory is opening its doors for atemporary exhibition dedicated to the Einstein Telescope. The exhibition is organized by POM Limburg with the support of the Province of Limburg.
Immersive expo
The exhibition highlights the positive impact of an ambitious scientific project like the Einstein Telescope on the region, including new technologies, innovations, procurement opportunities, and contracts that will arise from it.
Through an immersive experience, visitors will not only learn more about how the telescope works but also how they can contribute to its success. Innovation projects, new opportunities in future initiatives, and tips to spark young people’s interest in STEM education are all part of the exhibition.
The exhibition also features a keynote space that accommodates events and presentations for medium-sized groups (up to fifty people). Attendees can engage in discussions about topics such as innovations in the construction sector, new energy solutions, and the role of educators in combating brain drain. This offers a unique opportunity for (inter)national collaboration between entrepreneurs, decision-makers, and academics from Belgium, the Netherlands, and Germany.
Presentations and workshops must relate to the Einstein Telescope but can include a broader range of topics.
The exhibition can be viewed in both Dutch and English.
