The two key words to describe the current energy system are: centralised and demand-led. Through the energy transition, we are transforming this into a system that is decentralised, low-carbon and supply-driven. All this with energy supply that relies as much as possible on renewable, low-carbon energy sources such as solar energy and wind power. New technologies enable energy services to be managed digitally, with smart connections.

POM Limburg wants to scale up and accelerate decarbonisation, decentralisation, and digitisation. It is imperative that Limburg stakeholders collaborate more intensively. Together with various parties, POM Limburg wants to create the necessary framework to offer new energy activities and innovative enterprise every opportunity for growth in our province.
